We have accounts with almost every manufacturer in the mobility industry meaning we can access parts quickly. We stock new and second hand mobility scooters and walking aids, we also buy good quality pre owned mobility scooters.
We have over 16 years in this industry we have plenty of experience meaning we find and fix faults fast. We also understand your needs and the products available to meet them. We are the most experienced engineers in the area.
We also hire out wheelchairs, please contact us if you want to hire one. The cost is £15 for 1 day then £5 per day. IE, 2 days £20, 3 days £25 and £45 for 7 days. There is £100 refundable deposit when the chair is returned
If it is in the shop you can pay and take away the same day, no need to order and wait. You may find products cheaper online but it is unlikely you will get the level of support you will get from us. Buying from local small businesses means you are supporting local jibs, the local economy and The High Street. If you buy from us you can pop in and see us, we can carry out on site adjustments, repairs and answer any questions. Many online sellers have a 'return to base warranty' meaning you are responsible for sending the product back to them if there is a problem. We frequently get people coming to us asking us to fix products purchased online, often we cannot get parts for them so we are unable to fix them. We also think it is only fair to prioritise the customers that buy their product from us so we have to tell people to contact the company they purchased it from. All of our mobility scooters are sold with one month free insurance. We are suppliers to The NHS, local care homes and charities. We understand that mobility issues are not reserved for the elderly and work with people from all ages and backgrounds, we try to stock products that reflect this.

The Benefits of having a Mobility Scooter or Powered Wheelchair
Enhancing Independence and Quality of Life
Mobility scooters and Wheelchairs have become an essential tool for individuals with limited mobility, offering a range of benefits that significantly improve daily life. Whether due to age, injury, or disability, mobility scooters provide a practical and efficient solution for those who struggle with walking long distances or standing for extended periods.
Increased Independence
One of the most significant advantages of a mobility scooter or powerchair is the independence it provides. For individuals who may rely on others for transportation or assistance, a mobility scooter or powerchair allows them to move around freely without constant help.

Improved Quality of Life
Mobility scooters and wheelchairs enable users to participate in activities they might otherwise miss out on. From shopping to attending social events, these devices help individuals stay engaged with their communities and maintain an active lifestyle. This can lead to improved mental health, reduced feelings of isolation, and a greater sense of fulfilment.
Enhanced Safety
For those with mobility challenges, walking can sometimes be risky, especially on uneven surfaces or in crowded areas. Mobility scooters provide a stable and secure way to navigate these environments, reducing the risk of falls and injuries. Many models come equipped with safety features such as lights, reflectors, and anti-tip mechanisms for added peace of mind.
Comfort and Convenience
Modern mobility scooters and powerchairs are designed with user comfort in mind. They often feature padded seats, adjustable armrests, and easy-to-use controls. Additionally, many scooters are foldable or come apart, making them easy to transport and store. This convenience ensures that users can take their scooters wherever they go, whether it’s to the park, the shops, or on holiday.
Cost-Effective Transportation
Compared to other mobility aids or vehicles, scooters are relatively affordable and cost-effective. They require minimal maintenance and are powered by rechargeable batteries, making them an economical choice for daily transportation. For those who no longer drive or find public transport challenging, a mobility scooter can be a game-changer.

Boosted Confidence
Regaining the ability to move around independently can have a profound impact on self-esteem and confidence. Mobility scooter users often report feeling more empowered and capable, which can positively influence other areas of their lives. We speak to lots of people, some are concerned about what others may think of them using a mobility aid. Once they get passed that they often say things like 'I wish I had done it sooner as it has made such a difference to my life'. Ultimately we have one life, it is our life and if it means using something to aid our quality of life we should not worry about what others may or may not think. Scooters and wheelchairs are commonplace now and are nothing to be ashamed of.
Conclusion
A mobility scooter or wheelchair/powerchair is more than just a means of transportation—it’s a tool that enhances independence, safety, and overall well-being. For anyone facing mobility challenges, investing in a scooter can open up a world of possibilities, allowing them to live life to the fullest. If you or a loved one is considering a mobility scooter, take the time to explore the options available and find the perfect fit for your needs. After all, mobility is freedom, and everyone deserves the chance to experience it.
At Active Days Mobility we have a wealth of experience and knowledge so you can visit our stores and be assured you will be given the best service possible.
